Our self-defense program will teach you how to prevent violence and abuse situations by giving people the essential tools they need to protect themselves and their loved ones, promote healthy relationships, and facilitate respect in their communities and society. ABC classes are designed to teach self-protection strategies that are effective regardless of size, age, or fitness level. You do not need any martial arts experience to attend this class.
All students warm up and practice the basics of Uechi-Ryu together. The class contains conditioning exercises, two-man drills, and beginner to intermediate level kata.
For ages 3-5, our Youth (Little Ninjas) program will help your child build a foundation for the martial arts as they develop coordination, balance, listening skills, safety skills, discipline and respect through games and drills.
For ages 6-8, our Kid's (Samurais) program keeps karate fun and interesting while building core skills and instilling a sense of self-respect, self-discipline and self-confidence.
As their sense of self-confidence rises it then positively affects their attitude which then affects their academic performance in a positive way.
For ages 9-14, our Tween/teen (Warriors) will learn the positive benefits of self-discipline and confidence, develop coordination and increase strength and flexibility. Because a structure of respect is built into our programs, children develop the ability to listen, learn, and achieve within a highly related environment.
Boxing focuses on agility, speed, quickness, balance, and hand-eye coordination. Name a sport that doesn’t require these skills! Boxing is a great cross-training sport. Boxing is very much about providing an uplifting environment where young athletes can decompress, learn, and have fun around peers and positive leaders. Boxing encourages individuality and self-worth in all students.
